24th European Congress of Lepidopterology

The  24th European Congress of Lepidopterology will take place on August 18-23 2025 in Svatý Jan pod Skalou, Czech Republic. It is organized by the Society for European Lepidopterology (SEL), an international non-governmental organization with ca. 400 members across the world.

The congress venue will be a medieval monastery near Prague in a limestone area with spectacular scenery and rich in butterfly and moth diversity.

The programme includes congress sessions covering a wide range of lepidopterology topics, as well as field trips and excursions. The scientific committee features Evolutionary Systematics authors and reviewers Hossein Rajaei and Reza Zahiri. 

As a sponsor of the event, Pensoft, Evolutionary Systematics’ publisher, will present awards to the best presentation and best poster.
